The fundamental goal behind the foundation of Darussalam is to present the Noble Qur’an and Ahadeeth of our beloved prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in their original and easy to understand way. The books published by Darussalam are designed in the best possible way that enhances the interest of the reader. These books contain the authentic content from the sacred sect of Salf As Saliheen under the light of Qur’an and Sunnah. Authentic references, latest trends of research and sect free publishing makes Darussalam significant in this field.
Darussalam came into being in 1992 as the result of efforts by Abdul Malik Mujahid. Currently serving the seekers of Islam in four (4) continents with zeal and zest, Darussalam has become a world famous Islamic publisher in 15 years by adopting the latest trends and technology. They are using all types of channels including print media, electronic media and information technology to spread the true sense of Qur’an and Sunnah. They are specialized in printing Qur’an, Tafseer, History of Islam, Ahadeeth and other Islamic literature. Darussalam also focuses on publishing the books for children and young seekers of Islam.
Translations of Noble Qur’an: To spread the true knowledge of Qur’an, it is a must to translate Qur’an in all major languages of the world. Darusalam started this project and till now has translated Qur’an in more than 25 languages. The prominent ones include English, French, Urdu, Spanish, Persian, Hindi, Pashto, Sinhala, Russian, Chinese, Bengali and many other languages. In addition to this, more than 600 Islamic books in English have been published, making Darussalam a market leader. A short but comprehensive Tafseer of Qur’an named, “Ahsan Al-Bayan” in Urdu has set new records. Another Tafseer named, “Ahsan Al-Kalaam” has been published by Darussalam, which was highly welcomed by the masses.
Seerat Encyclopedia: It is an honor for Darussalam that they have published the highest number of books on the noble life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him). Until now 64 books have been published on this topic in different languages. The latest publication, “Al-Lulu Al-Maknoon” (Seerat Encyclopedia) in Urdu is a big success and a milestone for the Muslim Ummah. This publication has 11 volumes that are beautifully designed with keen interest and respect.
Terrorism is a big challenge nowadays. And we can overcome this situation only by following and spreading the true essence of the holy life of Prophet.
Abdul Malik Mujahid, the founder of Darussalam, is also a well-known personality of Islam. He has written more than 30 books from which many young seekers of Islam especially the students of different colleges and universities has quenched their thirst for Islamic knowledge. Some of his books are as follows: Seerat Mutahira, Husn-o-Adab, Ehlaaqiyat, Taareekh kay Sunehray Waqiyat, Sunehray Safar Naamay and entire Golden Series. Darussalam has published more than 1,500 books in different languages.
Darussalam’s head office is based in Riyadh —Saudi Arabia. While its branches, sub-offices and distributors are all around the world in more than 28 countries. Some of them are, Jeddah, Sharjah, London, New York, Paris, Canada, Lahore, Australia, Colombo, Kuwait, Mumbai, Durban and Islamabad etc.
Many well-known personalities and scholars have visited different offices of Darussalam and has appreciated the work of the team especially the research department has been appreciated by the Minister of Religious Affair (KSA) Shaikh Saleh Bin Abdul Aziz Aal Saud. Some of the other significant visitors include Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Raja Zafar ul Haq, Maulana Ehtram ul Haq Thaanvi, Ex-president of Pakistan Justice Muhammad Rafiq Tarrar, Prof. Sajid Meer, Dr Samar Mubarak Mand and many others.
